Tough time last week

Last week was a tough time trying to find any rising fish, soo when that happens us a #12 black beetle and go plopping! The fish were really not that aggressive but again would take the beetle if it had a bit of movement, go figure? I actualy had more fish take the dam thing when I moved it a bit (2-4") than just after it landed which is really unsual. I tied all my 2020 beetles with rubber legs and not black hackle, Also began to use either white or pink indicator posts on top making for a better visual experience. Did not see any Trioc's or any rising fish but it might have happened later than when I checked and decided where to fish. I try not to fish the same spots this time of year.
