Spent Sunday afternoon and night at Penn's below Coburn and the fishing was tough, rising fish were few and far between their rise. Wanted to fish nymphs BUT I had my Simms Headwaters Vibram Sole wading shoes on and even with aluminum star disks on the bottom they are just too dangerous to try and wade much- stupid me- getting old sucks when you can't remember to never wear them in Penn's. The shoes would be good in Loyalsock or any freestone stream not a limestoner.
Saw March Brown's, Grey Fox, BIG Stoneflies and larger Sulphurs near dark. Yes there were a few good fish taking the Sulphurs but not the really good ones that live in the pool. Oh well I'll just go again, the traffic on the Creek Road was really heavy but no one was anywhere near me? This week will be 100% perfect abet only for the last few hours of the day but go to anywhere else.
